Q: Where can I find a professional driving instructor?
A: At ABLE 2 DRIVE driving school we have NZTA approved driving instructors and have been giving driving lessons to many students with a high passing rate! Beginners who wish to learn to drive through us are imparted with proper driving skills through a structured driving lesson plan that will enable you to pass the restricted practical driving test with ease. We will guide you step-by-step through our efficient teaching scheme. One must be proficient in the current modules before advancing to the next. Parallel parking, 3-points turn, U-turn and Hill start are made easy with our thoughtful driving instructor who uses diagrams to aid you in your training.

Overseas Conversion
This option is for students preparing to convert their foreign to New Zealand driving licence
You must pass the appropriate New Zealand theory test unless you have a driver licence issued in one of the countries listed below and you are applying for a car or motorcycle licence
Practical test:
You must also pass the appropriate New Zealand practical driving test;
unless you have held a drivers licence for at least 2 years issued in:
Australia - Austria - Belgium - Canada Denmark - Finland - France - Germany - Greece - Hong Kong - Ireland - Italy - Japan - Luxembourg - Netherlands - Norway - Portugal - South Africa - South Korea - Spain - Sweden - Switzerland - United Kingdom - United States of America
Your overseas licence must be current

when you apply for a New Zealand licence
Mock Test
When sitting a Mock Test you will experience firsthand a simulated driving examination.
You will learn, step by step, what to expect and what is required of you in a real test situation.
You will receive pointers in regards to areas of improvement,
such as 3-point turn, U-turn, parallel parking, hazards detection, response etc.
These areas will be exposed during the Mock Test and will be discussed and corrected prior to sitting your Practical Driving Test, with additional tuition available if required.
Car Hire
We offer a car equipped with automatic transmission and an Instructor to take you to your Practice Driving Test.
Test car hire includes pick-up, warm up driving as much as we have time, car hire for Practical Driving Test and return home. On average, depending on the location of the students pick up point the whole session will take approximately 2 hours
NOTE:
For students who HAVE NOT taken lessons with ABLE 2 DRIVE having a lesson/mock test at least a week before your test is required.
We have to be sure that your skills, knowledge, procedures, observation and judgement meet the NZTA standards and criteria.
